After enabling the login redirection module you may encounter issues finding the login page to your website. This is most often related to caching. Depending on your hosting configuration, you may need to clear the cache on your website after enabling this feature. This caching can be occurring in a few different places.
- Server side cachingCheck on your hosting platform for any server-side caching and clear the cache. This process will vary from platform to platform, so please consult your hosting platform’s documentation to find out how.
- Plugin cachingYou may also have a cache plugin (such as Lightspeed cache) enabled on your website. Depending on if you are able to access the site or not (such as still remaining logged in), you will have to either clear the cache or disable the plugin manually.
- Have site accessIf you have access to the site, then consult your caching plugins documentation for instructions on how to force clear the cache. Typically this is done from the settings page of the plugin.
- Cannot access siteIf you are unable to access the site due to being logged out when you enabled the redirection, then you will have to temporarily disable the caching plugin. The simplest way to do this is to navigate to the wp-content folder on your hosting platforms file manager and delete the caching plugin folder from the plugins folder. After deleting it, you should be able to access your login page at the slug you have set. After logging in you can reinstall your caching plugin and the new login slug should be cached and accessible moving forwards.
- Local cachingFinally if options 1 or 2 did not solve the problem, clear your cache on your local browser.
